My zero waste story (Inkka)

My eyes opened on many beaches in Thailand. Unfortunately the beaches were dirty and full of rubbish. I couldn’t believe what I saw. I was asking myself.

What are we doing to our beautiful planet & oceans and the wild life living in it?

Back in Bangkok, I suddenly saw plastic bags completely everywhere. The amount of plastic bags (from tiny little ones to big size ones) used is unbelievable. And this made me think.

What can I do to change it? How can I make a difference?

I came across zero/low waste lifestyle and started to learn. It was amazing to see how much I can do to make a positive difference. Which made me so happy.

Because I didn’t know anyone I created my Instagram @our.planet.our.home hoping to meet like minded people. And I did and I am so grateful for our community because everyone is so supporting, motivating and inspiring.

And seeing so many people caring about our planet motivates me to carry on and fills me with hope that we are heading the right direction.

I want to bring us like minded people together that is why I created my website because together we are stronger and we can make a bigger difference.

I believe that we need to understand and have knowledge why we do what we do. For us to stay motivated and also if someone approaches us we have an answer for them which might inspire them to start implement changes into their lives.

That is why I have so much content to learn from on my website for us to carry on learning and spreading the awareness.

My mission is simple – We need to recognise that we have the power to change the world by paying attention to what we do on a daily basis and what we spend our money on, living by example can inspire others and positive change will come.
